School Site Council

Congratulations to our two new parent representatives, Lindy Owen and Veronica Navarette who ran unopposed. 
We are still looking 1-2 parents to serve on this committee.

The first meeting will be held on Tuesday September 22 at 4:00 p.m.
School Site Council is a group composed of teachers, administrator, classified employees, and parents. SSC meets bi-monthly after school. SSC oversees a discretionary budget, reviews the school site plan, and the school safety plan. Terms are for two years.

VUSD Blueprint for Educational Excellence and Innovation

One of the goals of VUSD's Blueprint is that students demonstrate high levels of literacy in English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). At Madison, English teachers are teaching digital reading and writing using Chromebooks. Other content area teachers are supporting English Language Arts by teaching students to cite textual evidence to support an assertion. Follow the link to learn more about The Blueprint

Bell Schedules


Vista Teen Outreach is a non-profit organization run by community volunteers.  They are providing food pantries at various schools throughout our district.  Hungry students are allowed to receive a backpack of food free of charge throughout the school year.  For more information about volunteer opportunities or donation needs, please visit their website at www.vistateenoutreach.org.
